With spectacular views of Torch Lake, this is a fun track to play. Another 18 are in process, and should be open in the spring of 2005. Located 17 miles north of Traverse City.


Elmbrook Golf Course

Home of the largest golf league in Traverse City (128 golfers, going off in 4 flights). Elmbrook enjoys scenic views of the East and West Arm of Grand Traverse Bay. This course refuses to penalize good golf shots.


King's Challenge

Arnold Palmer design, this course takes full advantage of the rolling terrain. Opened in 1998, this is a favorite of many locals.


Antrim Dells Golf Course

A 6,670 yard masterpiece designed by Jerry Matthews, located 35 miles north of Traverse City. Reservations are suggested, but walk-in traffic is accommodated.


Garland Resort

You'd have to experience it to believe it. Four championship courses, incredible lodging and amenities. An 85 mile trek from TC, but well worth it.


Leelanau Club

A fantastic course, laid out along the cherry orchards our region is known for. With views of Suttons Bay and Lake Michigan, you may be tempted to play another 18! Located 20 miles north of Traverse City.


Black Forest / Wilderness Valley

This is a pair of courses you'll remember long after you're gone. If you can survive the first 5 holes on BF, you've done well! Located 45 miles north-east of TC, it's a well spent couple of hours!


Grand Traverse Resort

Three championship courses with distinct personalities. A must play while in Traverse City. Course designs by Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and William Newcomb.


Mistwood Golf Course

27 hole championship course designed by Jerry Matthews. Mix the nines to make a unique 18, or play them all! This course can be challenging if you forget to "play smart" (been there, did that!)


Champion Hill Golf Club

The sister course to Pinecroft, Champion Hill sits atop the highlands of Beulah. Open, rolling fairways with views of Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, and the Platte Lakes.


High Pointe Golf Club

The two nine's are as different as can be. Front nine is a links layout, try to stay out of the heather. The back nine tightens up with tree-lined fairways and rolling hills.


Pinecroft Golf Plantation

The sister course of Champion Hill, this course makes extreme use of the hilly terrain. Stunning views, especially of Crystal Lake from the 16th green. Both courses are located approximately 34 miles west of Traverse City.

This is a good course to hone your iron play on. Strategic play will yield low scores. Watch out for their version of "Amen Corner" (14, 15, 16). Smart play is critical on these three holes.


Interlochen Golf Club

One of the oldest courses in the area. Interlochen Golf Club has tight tree-lined fairways, good course management required.

Another must play while in the TC area. Four championship courses, the most notable being The Legend (Arnold Palmer) and Cedar River (Tom Weiskopf). 33 miles north-east of Traverse City.
